Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico as a category 4 hurricane on September 20th, 2017, marking one of the most catastrophic events in the island’s history. The infrastructure of the island has been severely compromised and the response by the U.S. government to the disaster remains insufficient for the island’s 3.4 million U.S. Citizens. More than one month since the storm hit, over 50 people have died as a result and many residents remain without electricity or reliable access to clean water. The residents of Puerto Rico continue to stand strong in the fight to rebuild their lives but they need our support. We are asking you to join us and stand in solidarity with Puerto Rico in the face of this humanitarian crisis.
